Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens

My Rating:

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Am I the only one who has the Michael Bublé song pops in my head when I read this title? Maybe just me? Who knows. Let me know if I am the only one.

Anyways, this is a warm rom com that will get your heart fluttering of a romance that by sheer chance happened.

Can once of a lifetime love story happen when luggage gets accidently swapped? Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens is that story.

Sophie Cousens has this talent to deliver that slight angst romance that gets you yearning as a reader to want the main characters to get together. This is the second book I read from this author, and she does not disappoint.

Just Haven’t Met You Yet is about Laura who is a journalist that writes about other people’s love stories. Even though her personal love life is nonexistent to say the least. She believes in true love because of the love story of her mother and her deceased father had. Even though her father died when she was a baby, Laura truly believed of their parent’s epic love story.

When an opportunity arises for Laura to go back to the island that her parents met, she jumps on the opportunity to write about their love story.

When she arrives at her hotel, she realizes that got the wrong suitcase. And the suitcase is filled with all the items that she loves. So, the reasonable explanation is that Laura needs to return this suitcase and she will meet her one true love.

On the way trying to find this “one true love,” she meets a taxicab driver named Ted. He helps her drive through the island to find this guy and to go to the points on the island that her parents were at.

Along the way, everything didn’t work out in the way that she thought it would be. This is a book you need to read for yourself because it is wholesome as usual from Sophie Cousens writings.

The only thing I will say about this book is the last section of this book. It was slow and drawn out. Where the people ended up together and it seems like a happy ending then they added this extra and random conflict that prolongs the story. I personally feel that it was unnecessarily added in.

Other than that, regardless, Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens is a great rom com that gives you the good feelings in the end.
