So, this month has been really chill here. Expect for planning a move and Hurricane Ian.
I live in Florida and have to deal with Hurricane Ian. I needed to put shutters up, I have already prepared in June for a hurricane, so I didn’t need supplies. But I was just on edge on what will happen next. Hurricanes can be unpredictable until the very last minute.
Thankfully, I wasn’t on the direct path and only got tropical force winds.
But, with all that craziness, I was still able to read quite a bit.
FYI: I was surprised with how many books I had to pack. Can you relate?
This month, I was able to tackle 16 books and my current goal of 115 books. So, I quickly decided to increase my reading goal to 150. I figured since I have been reading 12-18 books a month lately, that goal is easy to crush.
Q: Which book surprised me the most?
The Simple Wild by KA Tucker. This was a really cute romance that is set in the wilds of Alaska. This tugged my heartstrings in so many ways.
Q: Which book let me down the most?
When Life Gives You Vampires by Gloria Duke. This was a book I wanted to love because the premise of the book sounded good. But the delivery of it, wasn’t.
Q: Which book would you recommend?
Prince of Wolves by Quinn Loftis. This has grammatical errors; slightly winded dialogue and a main character sometimes makes you scratch your head. But it is still so good. Perfect for people who loved Twilight and want more vibe of Team Jacob.
